For the second consecutive year, Forte Construction was proud to sponsor and support the Spirit of Hope Gala for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in New York City.
The event brought together over 200 leaders from the real estate and construction industries to raise funds in support of the vital work of St. Jude. Attendees enjoyed gourmet food, craft spirits, live music, and a silent auction, raising a total of $327,000 for the hospital. St. Jude, which has been dedicated to improving children’s health for more than 60 years, continues to make significant strides in research and treatment.
“St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is truly an incredible organization, and its work in the battle against childhood cancer is paramount,” said Athena Pappas, Director of Philanthropy at Forte Construction, who will be chairing the event in 2025. “I’m proud to have been part of this effort.”
The World Health Organization estimates that 400,000 children under 19 are diagnosed with cancer every year. Foundations like St. Jude have been instrumental in improving survival rates. Since its founding, the hospital’s groundbreaking treatments have increased the childhood cancer survival rate from just 20% to over 80%.
Dedicated to advancing cures and preventive treatments for pediatric diseases, St. Jude ensures that no child is turned away, regardless of their race, religion, or family financial situation. Forte Construction is proud to contribute to this significant cause and looks forward to continuing its support.
Pappas added, “I am honored that Forte Construction was able to play a significant role in raising essential funding and awareness for the treatment and care of countless children who deserve to grow up and celebrate their lives.
