The structural steelwork is complete for P.S. 487, a four story elementary school that will educate over 500 students in the Bronx. We congratulated the team with a Topping Off Celebration, where the crew signed the final beam and enjoyed some delicious American classics.
The four story school will educate students from pre-kindergarten to 5th grade. The fully air-conditioned building will contain four pre-kindergarten classrooms, three kindergarten classrooms, and fifteen standard classrooms.
The building will also have a District 75 special education component consisting of eight classrooms, four speech/resource rooms, and occupational & physical therapy rooms. Completion for the 2024-2025 school year is on track.
