To be in a position to give back is a privilege Forte Construction does not take lightly. Our team takes pride in not only delivering high-quality work on public and private sector projects across downstate New York, but also in giving back to our communities.
It is these efforts that earned our company the 2024 Corporate Social Responsibility Award from Long Island Business News, a leading publication celebrating the best that Long Island has to offer.
Our approach to charity focuses on employee involvement. We empower our team to steer our efforts toward causes that align with their passions and the needs of the community.
Our annual Staff Picked Charity contest is one of the most popular initiatives Forte Construction offers, inviting all employees to advocate for their favorite causes anonymously, with the chosen charity receiving a donation of $10,000.
The contest inspires everyone to start thinking months in advance about how they can support those in need, fostering a sense of pride among staff members for being a part of a company that genuinely cares about making a difference.
Last year’s recipient of the Staff Picked Charity was Troop 6000 of the Girl Scouts of Greater New York. Submitted by Project Manager Carlos Lopez, this donation helped provide uniforms, badges, essential supplies, field trips and more to Girl Scouts whose families are living within NYC's shelter system.
We understand that life can be hectic, and despite the best intentions, finding time to give back isn’t always easy. That’s why Forte Construction hosts many charity events during work hours, providing our team with the opportunity to contribute to meaningful causes.
Our employees support local initiatives like the Helping Hands Rescue Mission, filling over 50 backpacks with essential school supplies and assembling more than 50 Easter baskets filled with treats and toys each year. We also participate in home builds with Habitat for Humanity of Long Island, where we’ve put together dedicated teams to assist those in need over the past four years.
On the heels of our recent recognition as one of Crain’s New York’s Best Places to Work, we were reminded once again that the mark of a great company is not only the results you produce, but the lives that you change and the employees you inspire.
We congratulate all of our fellow Corporate Citizenship Award recipients and thank all of our employees for their unwavering dedication to making a positive impact on our communities.
